A real bargain ??

I was out and about with my camera on the weekend and stopped to chat with an old chap who was gardening in his front yard. He asked me about my camera and i told him it was a Pentax digital SLR. He said he had some camera gear which belonged to his late wife and was i interested in buying it.
Never let a chance of a bargain slip through your fingers i always say
I was expecting an old box brownie or something
But too my surprise it turned out to be a Pentax MZ-60, brand new and still in the box. It also had 2 lenses both Sigmas a 28-80mm and a 100-300mm nothing to write home about there i said to myself. It also had a set of Kenko auto extension tubes and a Tamron F 1.4x teleconverter and a lowepro bag to put it all in. All brand new and boxed.
Apparently it was replacement gear from thier insurance for stuff they had stolen in a burglary. But sadly his wife passed away and the gear was never used. That was 3 years ago
I asked how much he wanted for it and he said it yours for AU$100, i gave him $150 and left, feeling a little guilty i might add.

So i think i got a real bargain and will probably only use the the tubes and teleconverter, and E-bay the rest.

At least you did the right thing by giving him more than he asked.
