I have just come across the following method of developing black and white negative film https://www.shetnews.co.uk/2025/07/30/vintage-photography-enthusiast-testing-sea...

Do forum members think that it might catch on?

If anyone can produce a plant-based developer derived from bindweed, my garden is worth a fortune. Free to forum members, of course .

But wouldn't dandelions give it all a yellow cast

If anyone has got cleavers aka Goose Grass in their garden, this too can be used as a developer according to this https://www.facebook.com/groups/1833878160190581/posts/4027565250821850/

There is also a report of Canadian photographer who uses Cannabis flower as a monochrome developer!! Looks as though there is no end to the possibilities

It certainly seems that this is a developing field. (OK, I'll get my coat and go now...)
