A pic a month 2016

Enjoyed looking at eveyone's photos from last year. For mine I've previously done one a month, as opposed to my favourite 12. Had some pretty slack months last year. So much so that this morning I've re-visited old photos for January. I've managed to find one that I didn't think worth processing at the time. Anyway. Here we go. I apologise for the lack of variety. I don't have as much time for photograhy just now. So to some extent I've had to prioritise and I've prioritised wildlife.

Life intrudes as well as enriching. Still a fan, lovely set Alan. Barn Owl wins for me as I've yet to get a really good example in enough light. Kingfisher very cute for a Kingfisher. Rutting bucks lovely action shot.

No need to apologise for the lack of variety Alan, there's variety in abundance in your choice of photos. I love the two pictures of harvest mice, the deer and the leaning groyne on the beech but they are all crackers.

What a fabulous collection. Some of those I would be happy to capture once a year, not a month.

Just great, and that aurora panorama is really rather special.

High quality selection as ever, Alan... my own personal favourites are the Arctic Tern and the Rutting Stags, but they're all extremely well seen and caught... excellent hard yards to get to the Aurora too...

A fabulous set Alan, I don't think there are any fillers here despite you having some 'slack months'. I think my year was much slacker than yours (photographically speaking), I don't have any images at all from most months.

Wow and more wow. Especially September! No apology needed for any of these.

Great to see these shots all together, and of course they are an excellent summary of a strong years photography ...even if a bit leaner for you than usual! Favourites for me are the Harvest Mouse (isn't that 'golden hour' always a treat ) and the Roe Deer, which I Iike for its understated tones.
