To you, Pauly, it may well be just "another shot of the lil' dude at bathtime," but, to me, the expression could also signify fear or apprehension and it reminds me of the NSPCC TV campaign, enhanced by the use of B & W rather than colour. IMO, colour would have given it a completely different feeling.
Sorry, probably just me and my former career, but when I first saw it, it sent a bit of a shiver down. Could have been a lot to do with the "peeping round the door" aspect, I suppose.

I have to agree with Ray. The peeping round the door changes the whole feeling. Without that, the expression could, "Oh Dad! Put that camera away!".
But with the door.... you could sell that to the NSPCC for one of their campaigns.

I agree with you. The elements of the shot in suggestin' fear and apprehension are all there. My point of view lookin' down with the camera exacerbates this vibe and feel of the shot too.
It is such a sad state of the times that we're all made to think like this 'cos of that horrible minority of people doin' such wicked and vile things to our children. Its hard to think otherwise and objectively.
After postin' this image I did have my concerns about it, and admittedly felt slightly uncomfortable. But I decided not to 'pull' it 'cos it is still valid photography.
I will get in contact with the NSPCC and offer them the use of my photograph for free, thats if they want to use it in their campaigns.
Maybe it could do some good in raisin' funds for this organisation.
