I just pushed the button on a low milage (under 2k) K-7 !
After endless research, threads started, comparisons made the die is cast
Should keep me happy for a couple of years then a similar K-5 will eventuate
My poor K100D is looking a bit sad but I'm sure will make someone very happy

Well we have finished day 3 or thereabouts...
been a bit like a new Yes album :0
The highs, the lows, the highs again.
Had the sense to know the first brace of crap shots was all due to the nut behind the wheel

Besoted by the body setup from the get go
Then died a thousand deaths of remorse on seeing noise at 200 iso
then read John Bs noise analysis and started to relax...
Started looking for a way of plugging Topaz into the Gimp...
tonights epiphony was finding first real sharpness and seeing how marvelously fine is the grain...
Getting good cat details on the new 55-300 @ 300 wide open

Still holding button and winding the back wheel for aperture in M
The muscle memory bits I need to reburn
Totally new actions like iso button/wheel is a delight.
Awesome how the form factor is so close to the K100D

I found the ISO of the K-7 pretty good as long as you are prepared to use noise reduction software. This was ISO 2000 and then processed with Lightroom.
