A few wedding images

So my best friends finally got hitched and had an official photographer for an hour as that's all they could afford so even though I was the best man I brought the camera and fired a few images off for them. Just thought I'd share! All were taken with my K5ii and DA* 16-50mm.

A good set of images. I also like the confetti shot, you've kept a clear view of their faces whilst capturing the joy of the moment and lots of confetti.

Thanks both! It certainly is their favourite image of the day. The official photographer only shot a few of the ceremony and a few staged images after and then was gone! No reception images, reportage shots, confetti, first dance etc! Talk about easy money!

Some great images there. The 'confetti' shot is my favourite as well.

I have to say I've never heard of hiring a wedding photographer by the hour...perhaps it'll catch on.

Thanks Karlo! If it catches on then great easy money for a short shooting time frame but for what I shoot at a wedding I'd be like a road runner on acid to get all my shots in !!

You undoubtedly provided far more 'bang per buck' then the 'pro' guy! Huh, he probably didn't even have a Pentax either

The confetti one has bags of 'FIZZ' - great one. I really like 3 and 4 also, nicely controlled exposure and balanced light.

Thanks both. I made the joke I was only the best man by default as I have a camera!!

I'm sure the official photographer took some lovely images with his 18-55mm IS kit lens

Couldn't believe it! No reception images, no shots of the cake, no first dance, no confetti!
