I took my son for a ride along the canal at Chester, while the Mrs took my daughter shopping.
Managed to grab a few shots without him complaining too much!

C&C welcome.

Looks very tranquil ..... I've never been to
that area only the city centre bit and never further
than the riverside pubs. Time I ventured further.

The last one is the best here I think. It has an interesting range of tones with complex shadows and the placing of the bridge invites interest in where it leads. A pretty spot, well done for getting these good images in the limited time you had!

121 is only a very short walk from looks like a nice pub which also does food. It's called "The Old Trooper", on the A41 just outside Chester.
I keep promising myself I'll make it my base for a pleasant Sunday walk one day.

Thanks for the comments Mc. I've shot this bridge before, but usually from the other side. I liked the way the foreground trees framed it from this angle.

Nice shots

We used to hire rowing boats from the groves area then row up river to the Red House, moor up, get bladdered then row back get some awful takeout and crash out at a friends house

The Old Trooper has been pretty decent for many years (24 years in my experience)
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.
