It appears so Alan, plenty of nest building still going ahead but no chicks hatched yet to feed. This time last year there seemed to be many more puffins and all feeding busily so loads of opportunities for the classic puffin landing with a beak full of eels, not yet this year though. I may go back with my local camera club in July and see what the difference is then.

A wonderful set, Steve.
What day were you on Skomer? I was there myself on Sunday 18 May and got talking to someone with a K3, a Pentax 300mm and a Pentax waterproof compact.

I love the captions, Steve, but the images are even better - wonderful shots of a charismatic species (and further evidence of the 1.4 TC's apparent qualities).

Really enjoyed looking through these photographs - and reading the captions brought a smile to my face.

I was there on the 25th guys, and as hard as I tried I couldn't find another Pentax user on the island
Loads of the Canikony variety and one or two Panasonic users but only me representing Pentax hence the reason for the post.

It's in the exif Barrie, K3 with DA*300 with 1.4TC (assume it's the Pentax as the focal length in the exif is correct @ 420mm)
