I'd be very proud of the second. I can't but my finger on what it is that makes it, but it's great.

Rightly so. That second photo is enchanting. It just captures "the moment".

I love both of them. I remember commenting on the first one in the Gallery and it inspired me to take some 'puddle' shots, but I didn't manage anything that was even close to yours.

I like both these shots but feel in #2 you should have given more space in front of her (maybe it wasn't possible).

I could have tried but it was a very very busy road, I'd have another 10 bodies between her and me if I waited even 5 seconds to recompose! I should have tried I guess regardless.I like both these shots but feel in #2 you should have given more space in front of her (maybe it wasn't possible).
I am extremely happy at the ISO 4000 performance of the K-5 though!

I still like the B&W. have you tried just croppnig a bit more off the righthand side, just so she is not in the middle of the image?

Hi no haven't cropped it at all this is just as taken from the camera, other than bwing it and then tiny bit taking care of the highlights thats all i did to it.I still like the B&W. have you tried just croppnig a bit more off the righthand side, just so she is not in the middle of the image?
Maybe I should experiment a bit more but it is so rare for me that pics come out of the camera and I just like them that I just thought I'd leave it alone!

If you are happy with it that is all that matters.

These two pictures have been posted in the gallery and got a few good comments so I thought they are worth sharing. It is not that they couldn't have been taken with my D7k rather that I wouldn't be carrying it around with me whereas I am more than happy to drag my K-5
