Steve, re. #1 - My reason for taking this was to get a composition showing the structure of the bridge and I waited for some people to walk along the towpath into the scene to give (as you noted) a sense of scale. I have to admit that I didn't think of the man and his daughter being the subject, but I now see what you mean. I wish I had more talent for seeing images! I like #3, but #1 is now my favourite!
