A 'plethora' of Pentax's

Decided today to gather together all my Pentax gear, just to see exactly what I had, what was working, and what, if anything, I might part with.

Well it all works

Found an old Takumar 135mm M42 lens I didn't know I had !!!

Decided not to part with anything at the moment, and logged all the equipment details into a database. I felt quite pleased with myself.

Took a group photo to celebrate my achievement.

How weird is that... I already had a spreadsheet with all my kit listed (serial no, purchase date/place etc) and was adding the details for the recent K10D purchases this afternoon... Pledged to myself that I need to have a clearout as I've got way too many bits that aren't getting used.

Sometimes it's an interesting exercise to do and often turns up an old lens that I haven't used in ages - today's example of that was an old K series 135mm f3.5 which is a real stonker of a lens to forget about!!!

The SMC-M 135/3.5 was my second lens and I still have it. Always gives good results.

All I can say is you could have taken a pic of your Optio with the DS and cloned it into the pic as well! Or isn't it good enough to sit alongside the grown-ups?

You are totally right, forgot about the Optio 550. I will add it to the pic !

Cracking camera, stands up to a lot of punishment. In-fact it is the only camera I let the kids get their hands on, even then, I'm a little reluctant to give it to them. Must buy them a Pentax of their own. Start them young on Pentax you know.

Some of the 550's pics are here, see . . . Katies Pics & Nairn Dance

(The first few of the Nairn Dance were with the DS )

Those are very impressive shots for a compact, but I suppose it IS a Pentax.
Had a quick look at some of the other stuff too, nice work, going to come back for a longer look when I have more time.

The only problem with posting a link to your website is the fact that we now all know you've been inside a PINK limo! (or is that one of the kids shots?)

No they wouldn't let me in the limo,

I got a phone call to meet them for a group pic when they got out of the car.

WHAT!? No K10D!!!!!

Very nice collection. I sold my MX a year ago. That was a BIG mistake as the replacement as the MZ-50. Didn't think I'll still use film when I upgraded (or downgraded, depending on your view) to digital
