Trading a Pentax DA 18-250

I have this lens a half year now and it simply isn't a lens for me.
The lens in excellent condition, no scratchs or wear and there is always a B+W mrc UV filter on it so that one is included as well, we can't seperate them after such a long time right.

Since the pound isn't doing so well. I'm looking for trading it for another lens that atleast has the same value or more, I will of course pay the difference.

Most of my interests goes to prime lenses prefarable from Pentax, zooms might also be an option but I don't get really warm for most of them. One thing that must be on the lens is quick-shift or similar system, that's one of the reasons the 18-250 goes away.

Thank you for reading.

edit: typo, it's a MRC coating not a SMC on the B+W filter.

If your Dutch was better you would know what I mean Mike
It's the Dutch word for pound, I've changed it.

There you go then, a Pentax forum with Dutch lessons thrown in.
Can't be bad ...

It's sometimes quite annoying since words look like each other and are spoken the same but you write differently. Can give you some more lessons if you want

That's the problem, I will get less money for it in England then here.
To keep it reasonable for everyone a trade is the best option.
I rather have someone on the forum have fun with it then some complete stranger.

I can name you a price if you want, the new value here is €440 so £405.
Lets say £300 plus the B+W MRC UV filter which isn't cheap either, this is without postage to UK.

If it's going out the door for cash then the DA* 50-135mm will replace it, I mostly use the 18-250 in that range or at the far ends.
I will miss it on 250mm but thanks to Kriss, there is a Tamron 2x TC on the post for the 100mm macro

If it is any good! No promises... you get what you pay for

Yes that's right, we will see how it preforms.
I'm expecting nothing though but I will be glad if it does preform of course

BTW it seems that the Pentax 18-250 isn't in production anymore, hardly any shops has it new. Should I wait a bit till no shops have it anymore and then sell it?

Yes I know, the prices are silly in the UK at the moment.
Certainly with the more expensives lenses it can save €200 or even more of the new price, that's why I'm proposing a trade.

I can of course also sell the lens here and buy a new lens in England.

Most of the time SRS is cheaper and you get free delivery as a Pentaxuser member, so there really isn't a big difference if there would be one.

BTW Carl where did you find out about the discount, this the first time I hear about that one

ps. Kris the TC works like a dream, will upload some photos if I make any good ones

I'm selling it now.
£270 Lens + filter and shipment to Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark (excluding Faroe Islands and Greenland), Germany, France (incl. Corsica and Monaco, excl Andorra), Italy (excl. San Marino and Vatican City), Austria, Spain (incl. Balearic Islands, excl Canary Islands, Melilla and Ceuta), United Kingdom (excl. Gibraltar and Channel Islands), Sweden.
Shipment besides these countries is possible but it will cost you a bit more, the max extra charge is £10 to counties on the other side of the planet.

The shipment has insurance, track and trace, piority and you need to sign a recipe of delivery for me.

No paypal, but simple banktransfer please.

I'll make some photos later tonight so that you can see the lens

Some photos.
I used a pol btw, don't know if that effects the ability to see any defects on the lens?

All in original original boxes and with a receipt. I believe the guarantee here is standard 2 years and there is still 8 months left. Don't know how much use it is in the UK
