I met this homeless guy on the South Bank in London. I asked for his picture and he asked for a pound. I couldn't give up on takin' a shot of this guys mug, so a pound it was.

Very good potrait, interesting face, sad to see him homeless, after all he is still someones son, brother or father.I wonder if he would not have asked you for more if he was aware that his so called mug would be uploaded onto the web for public viewing.

Thanks guys, appreciate you lookin' and commentin'.

These homeless people know they can earn a quid or two for their portrait, but I don't mind, they can certainly do with the help.
I've made a few acquaintances with people like this on the streets of London's east end, and i've heard their stories.
I know one guy in Brick Lane who self harms, he showed me his awful scars on the inside of his arms and wrists, they really were bad.

I gotta' say though that these guys are the most affable, jovial and interestin' people you'll ever meet, they jus' need to be understood and not looked down upon as scum.

The worst attitiudes come from the general public and 'jobsworths' most of the time.

Sorry to be so long winded guys.

You have sent me to bed with this pic haunting me. Life is a b....r for some and we, the better off are so quick to moan. I don't see this in my locality, just those with the big issue and I kinka wonder about them. I suspect they have a real story to tell and how life let them down when they most needed it. A haunting Pic. It will be the first pic I shall look at in the morning. You have truely caught the pathos and resignation in his eyes.
