I can see that it come in handy if your camera is very low on the ground and you can look at the screen instead of lying on your belly and looking through the view finder.... please don't ask me what I was trying to photogarph

I don't use it, but if they come up with a better version (a la Olympus, or the new Nikon, with a tiltable screen) I probably would.

No, do it myself but always look down at the lens and try to guess what I am shooting, may be of use over someone’s head but I would have to stop to read the book to find out how to do it and by then the Queen would have driven past long since.

Use it all the time with video but the screen needs to tilt to really be of use as you are never in the correct place or the light makes viewing impossible, so IMO if you are going to have it, it has to be of the type used on the S**y video cameras.

I would have bought the K20D a long time ago if the Liveview had been better with a tiltable screen.
What I am after is something like the Canon 40D where you can zoom in 100% and use it as a focus aid for macro.

It is a five-sided reflecting prism and tends to take up quite a bit of space.
Unless of course Pentax are going to present the camera world with another "first" and have something different but equally as good up their sleeves.

IMO I think Pentax may be returning to the smaller camera with the next model, imagine the istD with 14MP, Shake Reduction and Video, and what about a Wireless connection to a nearby laptop or PC

As long as it takes SD cards not CF I'd be a happy bunny with what you just described

Wireless, not sure about that just gone back to a wired network at home as it seems impossible to keep others out of the system even if they don't want to be there, imagine the copyright problems someone could have published your work before you got home

How about a DSLR without the hopeless built in flash?

I use the built in flash 90% of the time when doing macro and find it far from useless.

If the pentaprism and mirrorbox are removed then it isn't a SLR anymore. It will just be a compact with removable lenses.
