9th May 09 **Pentax Forum Meet**

Unfortunately I can't make any of those dates
My wife wants to know if there are any shops in Sherwood Forest

Gift shop only, Nice shopping malls at Nottingham, Sheffield, Peterborough, if ever your coming over.

Can't commit to a date that far ahead but I'd certainly be interested in coming along. Sherwood Forest doesn't take that long down the A1 from the North East of England. Have already enjoyed visiting nearby Clumber Park.

PS If my wife comes I'll drop her off at Meadowhall in Sheffield. She too likes the shops.

Just beware of the average check speed cameras on the way into the city or you'll get a bigger shopping bill than expected

I'd be up for this as well - subject to work/her indoors commitments

I will be running a Quick Poll in March as to which day for the Pentax Meet in May, Saturday 9th or Sunday 10th.

I think this will be fare to all of you, Therefore the day with the most votes,will be the day of the meet.

I think we should have a Dutchy Pentax Meet sometime, there are a few of us Hollanders on here (I also refer to those who live in the other 9 (or is it 11) provinces in the Netherlands as well as those living in Nord-Holland and Zuid-Holland)

As for Sherwood Forest, I don't think I will be able to make it...I hope everyone who goes has a good day.....

Hello, we mentioned this is in the new mag and will able to in the next one. A confirmed date by mid March would be helpful for that. As I live a stones throw away, I'm hoping to attend as well.

Thanks Dan, I will be doing a pole on here at the end of Jan 09 giving the two dates in May, which ever date has the most votes within the 7/10 day pole will be the day of the meet..

The 9th is my birthday and as much as I'd love to attend it is a little too far from me to be able to attend; also, I have a militaria fair to go to the next day.

I ran a Photo-Hostelling trip there for Brentwood photo-club members-we stayed in the Sherwood Forest Youth Hostel, very POSH, FREE PARKING so will try to get family to come again.

Unfortunately I can't be there, but I have a suggestion.

If five or so of you could walk into a Jessops store with your cameras round your necks, Pentax strap logo in full view of course, and just browse for a few minutes.

If asked "Can I help you?", whilst looking at the lack of Pentax gear in their store, simply reply "It doesn't look like it."

Another Pentax owner should be strategically placed to record the various expressions of the staff.

Of course it could be that they will be in 'administration' by then
