Excellent shots, I'm really liking the movement in the water. It's something that I've tried before on one occasion and I failed terribly at it. All of these are great pictures.

Nice set, No. 3 is the stand out image for me also, followed by No.8

Another vote for # 3, the standout shot in a very fine set. No. 7 is pretty tasty as well!

Thanks all!
Certainly very kind words but now I find myself having to outdo myself now with future shoots

I'm confident that you will easily Gareth ...you'll get better light and better opportunities. You've made the most of this time though, and the best ones are those at the longer focal lengths where the smooth stones gain a sort of 3D depth from the perspective, and there's a great contrast with the swirl and swish of the water.
I personally prefer those with a warmer, traditional mono toning, not so much the more bluey ones.

Cheers Derek! Here's hoping!
The mono images are true black and white, no split toning on them. The ones that look almost mono but with a slight blue look to them as colour images believe it or not! As said the light was poor!!

They're colour??? That WAS bad light then ! All the more highlights the skill in getting good things out of it ....but you can look forward to even better when the sun and clouds help you out more.

BCC (Barry Camera Club) had a little meet up at a local beach for some photography so Steve and I popped along. I think, due to the light being so poor we were shooting for less than 2 hours!
