7dayshop flash cable problem

So i recently purchased a flash lead from the 7dayshop after spotting it in the 'leads to deals' section of this forum. I finally got a chance to mess about with it this morning but it seems to be a no go. Am i doing something wrong? I have a K5ii and a Metz 50 AF-1 flash. It just wont fire the flash at all. Any ideas people?

I bought one and mine works fine. I notice that the ends have small screws fastening them together. May be worth unscrewing them to see if both ends are wired up the same.
