67 to K adaptor

In the past I have used several different 67 (and 645) to K adaptors and have only ever been satisfied with the quality and operation of the Pentax manufactured version(s), but I recently purchased a K&F Concepts 67 to K adaptor because I couldn't find a Pentax model for under £100 - the K&F version is around £35 and I was pleasantly surprised at how nicely made it is and it has a tripod mount built in too! I've been using it for a few weeks now and although it's not quite as smooth as the Pentax one it's not far off - I can definitely recommend it

I use K&F adapters almost exclusively to adapt lenses to my mirrorless cameras and they are very well made and reasonably priced.

I had thought there was a P645 to K one but looking at their website there isn't.

How much benefit do you get from using these 'oversized' lenses on (say) a K1? I presume it is manual only?

No practical benefit David - they are oversized, fully manual and clunky to use - but it allows you explore the differences and purported "strengths" of particular lenses. The 67 M* 300mm f4 EDIF that I have been playing with is supposed to be a great Astro lens - I've not had much opportunity to use it at night, but I have been using it for tight portraits of the grandchildren as the one thing that really stands out is the beautifully natural looking colours and superb detail.

I suppose the biggest benefit is if you happen to be an owner of both a 67 and a K mount system - it could open up a larger number of lenses to you. Also, sometimes you find the 67 lenses at pretty good prices
