645D.......Still Waiting......

Nope, but it's eagerly awaited...
I went to a camera fair on Sunday where I'd usually find quite a bit of 645 stuff - this time there was nothing. Not a single lens between all the dealers present! I asked a few of them and they all said there'd been a surge of interest in 645 lenses and that they'd essentially been cleared out of stock. I think Pentax may end shifting more of these than they predicted.

Digital or Medium format? I can see the 645D could arguably fit into either. Pentax challenges the boundaries!

bigger glass, bigger sensor, (you know what that means right?) obviously you'd be cropping for aspect ratio...
be worth the money for me.....
and there is nothing wrong with the k7

Beats the Nikon D90, which apparently gets very upset if you try to take a video lasting more than five minutes.

Dangie: Your profile says you live in the UK. The 645D is released in Japan. Everything is on schedule. Pentax have never committed (or even mentioned) that this camera would be available in Staffordshire.

YOu can buy one at a Japanese shop and let it ship over, although I think getting a ticket is cheaper if you know what i mean...

I know the 645D is initially going to be released in Japan only but as it's now May 6th, and Pentax's latest release date was May, there's still no firm date for its release even in Japan. Or if there is I can't find it. Pentax's website is about as much use as a chocolate chisel..!! I just hope Pentax release it soon, so hopefully the world can see that Pentax are still alive and kicking in the photography world.
