Well if it helps any, I had to go out tonight, so I haven't got round to eBaying it. I may list it on Sunday night for 7 days, or I may leave it till next week and scrape around elsewhere for some cash.

Thanks but I really must resist. When would I ever user it? What I really need is a longer prime, I'm thinking of a 200mm M lens s it's fairly fast and well thought of. I MUST resist!
I hope the need for cash is for goodies not necessities

Lens still for sale!
Just in case there's any confusion, the item for sale is the SMC-A 50mm F1.7.
This is a manual focus lens, not AF. With the aperture ring set to A, all the auto-exposure modes are available on the Pentax dSLRs, since the camera sets the aperture.
The reference to the FA50 in my OP was that it was what I used on the K10D to take some of the pictures of the item with.
Apologies for any ambiguity.

I maybe able to help you out there Mike. I have the A version of that 200mm prime you are lusting after.

I'd be looking for GBP 55, plus whatever it costs to ship, and I'd be happy to ship to Australia, provided that the shipment was tracked and insured - so that if it did happen to arrive in lots of pieces there wouldn't be the risk of bad feeling.

Whenever I ship overseas I use UPS, their really fast and easy to track. Hope that helps. Just ring them and give them the weight and dimensions of package plus where it's going to, they will then tell you the price.

Excellent condition, optically and cosmetically.
Pictures of it here, some taken with my new FA50. Any specks you can see are dust, not damage.
The last few of these on eBay seem to have gone for about £55 + P&P or a bit more. One went for £79 but I think that's taking the p*** a little.
Special delivery will be about £6 in the UK, so let's say £60, shipped to a UK address.
