Does anyone know where to obtain (in the UK) a 49mm to 49mm lens coupling ring? It seems every other combination is available except that one, perhaps I'm looking in the wrong places

Try

I've used them a lot for ink cartridges, highly recommended.

Also try LORELL PHOTOGRAPHICS, 304 Oakley Road Luton Bedfordshire LU4 9QD Tel: 01582 591 706
General stuff from here: http://www.ukcamera.com/, but not much actually listed there.

A very useful source of all sorts of new and used odd bits including adaptor rings - and generally very helpful but not expensive!
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

Would second, the above.
I have also had a number of lens adaptor rings, from them.

Take care

Got one off ebay, alledgedly posted in UK

The lenses I'm joining weren't a lot of money so if the ring sticks it won't matter too much

Thanks for the suggestions

Stan, Before you run the threads together rub some soft pencil lead (6B if you've got one) into them. The graphite is an exellent, non oily, lubricant.

I'll try that, I have some other cheapo rings and lenses to test it on
