Im thinking of getting rid of my A* 300mm f2.8 ... not sure how much to ask though.

Its not the cash, its the weight and bulk.

The quality of the lens is superb, even with the 1.4x and 2x-L matched converters but the thing weighs a ton (3kg) and I just cant be bothered to lug it around.

The Bigma may not come anywhere near the quality but it does me nicely considering the difference in weight.
