400mm Advice please

For a long time now I've fancied a 400mm lens. I've seen this

What are peoples' opinions of this lens please? Is it worth bidding for it and if so how high should I go?

All advice gratefully accepted.

Thanks.

Howard

I reckon it's worth £100 or so, maybe more if you really want it. It's PKa mount so no messing with manual stop down exposure on your DSLR.

I would be interested if I hadn't just found the Tokina 80-400mm zoom in PKa mount, which I'm trying out first.

400mm lenses are much in demand in Pentax fit and not very common, so the price could do much better than we expect.

Thanks, John. Your possible interest is a recommendation, so I'll have to think hard as to how much I really want it and can I afford it.

Cheers,

Howard
