So annoyed at not having a camera adapter for a large Russian telescope that I have.
Will be asking you for advice on that point.
Best regards

Just need to extract the telescope from the loft to get the eyepiece dimensions and then find out what I need.

Eyepieces tend to come in two sizes ( as far as I'm aware ), 1 1/4 inch and erm...another (Mine are all 1 1/4 ).
You'll need as a minimum, one of these
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pentax-camera-T-ring-T-ring-for-telescope-adapters_W0QQite...
That will allow you to use the telescope as a massive lens, straight on the front of the camera. That works well for the moon.
You could also add one of these
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1-25-T-Mount-M42-mount-Combination-Adaptor_W0QQitemZ220534...
This will allow you to fit eyepieces before the camera for extra magnification, but focusing becomes much harder. Hence the second image above

Still, excuses done
What do you think?
The orientation is different as a result of the eyepiece lenses I used.
