a pentax 28-200, and sigma 400 served me VERY well on my mz5 for many years...and have recently been brought out of retirement for use on my ist ds2.
so I'd say yeah...but a couple primes may come in handy.
I always had a 50mm, 28mm, 85 soft focus and 28-70f4 on hand...never know when you'll want/need faster or sharper lens for specific shots....but for versatility and ease of use, few people would complain about the 28-200.
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

So would it be worth me to ditch the 28-90 & 100-300 and get a 28-200 and think about a bigger lense later on. Or keep 28-90 and ditch the 100-300 and get a 28-300

I think a 28-200 and a 400mm F5.6 would be a more useful combination that the lenses you've currently got. You could also add cheap manual focus primes (28mm F2.8, 50mm F1.7 & 135mm F2. for when better quality or wider apertures are needed.
