Excellent shots but as the the target here is so high I'm not sure I'd agree with Mike-P (at least without the Possibly)
4 & 8 are my favorites, but I miss the personal touch you normally get with the driver's portraits.

I like them all although not a fan of motor racing. That lipstick is a stunning shade too

Thanks, all, for the kind comments.

Mike, things are a bit hit and miss with portraits. I always try to take a few, but it's a matter of being in the right place at the right moment (and then hoping a TV cameraman doesn't walk across your shot, which happens about 80 per cent of the time).

I did capture some on Sunday, but I was concentrating on bygone F1 stars such as...

...Hans Stuck...

...and Rubens Barrichello.

As for shots #4 and #8, they were taken with an eBay-sourced FA 28-70mm f4. I realise crisper performance might have been available if I'd had 3,000 to spend on a lens, but I regard the 28-70 as 36 well spent...

Definitely one of your best sets yet Simon. I get the feeling the price of FA 28-70's may start rising now

Nice shots

I like them all for differing reasons
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.

An excellent set, the first 2 are my personal favourites but all are very impressive.

A great shot of Rubens, and close enough to a driver to fill the bit that seemed to be missing
