12-24 composition ?

I like the composition of the first and the third particularly.
Do you have a mucky sensor though? On the first one, in the centre about a third of the way down is a blob - could be a bird I guess, but looks to be muck. On the last one slap bang in the centre of the sky there seems to be a strange blurry dark blob, which looks horribly familiar.

Not that i feel worthy to offer an opinion but I'll wade in with both feet anyway!
The third shot is hands down winner for me. The Bollards and the pipe lead the eye to that great sky.
The first one is odd. I quite like it but something just dosen't sit right with it for me. I think it's that the overhead gantry is a vertical line in the frame but the chimney tilts inwards. It looks a bit off balance to me. But what do I know. The second shot is much easier on my eyes because the perspective is more balanced. The chimney and the left of the building both converge nicely. Looks pretty damn sharp too!
Good shots though. I'm jealous, I miss my film 24mm's viewpoint since I went digital (all of two months ago!) I need to get a wide digital lens , and soon. Must buy more lottery tickets.....

I like the first shot showing the contrast in the vertical and horozontal planes of the two structures but you do need a sensor clean Bob .

MarkD, don't be shy with the opinions. Seems like you have alot more experience than me. Regardless of that, composition is very subjective anyway.
Well I've blown a little bit of fluff off the sensor, but it would seem the main culprit was splashes on the front element of the 12-24. There where a fair few drips coming from the buildings. Will get a proper cleaning kit anyway & I need to get in the habit of cleaning my kit when I get home, rather than wrestling the SD card out and gawping at the PC for an hour or two.
Edit: - Actually I'm now processing an image I took with the 10-17 & that has spots too. Deffo time for a good clean.

Great shots doesn't seem to stretch the corners the way that my Sigma 10-20 does, I must try it at 12mm

I think the spots maybe on your filter or lens and not the sensor. if they were on the sensor they would show up in the same spot on every photo
