Some data for 100mm (or 105mm) lenses, again from 1981/1982.

Decentering figures - Lens name - MTF 10 lpm - MTF 40 lpm

5% Canon f2 92% 53%
6% Canon f2.8 92% 51%
7% Konica Hexanon 91% 51%
6% Minolta MD 93% 59%
2% Nikkor 91% 51%
15% Nikon Series E 92% 47%
23% Olympus Zuiko 92% 46%
6% Pentax-M 93% 60%
2% Zeiss Planar 92% 58%

As we can see, the Pentax lens in this group is a star, even without a *, and we know that this lens has always been highly regarded. I've owned several, and all have been sparkling performers.
Best regards, John

The figures are generally better across the board compared to the other focal lengths you've posted - this is obviously one of the easier lengths to design for.

Again very interesting, the Olympus must have been a real knife edge design.

The easiest lens to design for a format is one just slightly longer than the standard, so 85mm and 100mm lenses should be amazing.
