Nice. Did you use an ND grad with the 1st and 3rd pictures?

The first and third pictures are very impressive. Not so sure about the second, where the distortion doesn't seem to add anything. The third picture is especially strong IMHO.

Many thanks for the replies. Ammonyte the grad is just done in photoshop, i dont have a filter big enough for this lens yet.
I included the second pic to show (more tests required) that the fisheye distortion is only visible if you want it to be and the fantastic blue sky rendering - almost as if a polariser was used. (only my humble opinion of course - willing to be reprimanded)
Distortion required

Not required

Or have i too simple a view perhaps ?
Help - imageshack gives multiple codes for images, which is the correct one to paste here ?

It's IMHO an advantage of ultra-wide lenses that they tend yo look as though a polariser had been used and you get fantastic deep blue skies. The 12-24mm is great for this if yopu want straight lines, and your pictures are tempting me into getting the 10-17mm.
Keep up the good work!

Do it JR! you must do it!
I use mine at Weddings!
If you angle it just right, groups at round tables come out with every person in view and minimal distortion!
garters and flowers being thrown (add two viv 285's with slaves, plus the 360 on camera, to cover the whole feild of view) capture the hight of the action with everybody in focus and said object in mid air!
rethink the composition rule of thirds, and keep the horizon dead center for fabulous landscapes!
distorted feild of view with closeup elements!
it's Pentaxe's ultimate weapon!

Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

Ah, I'd wondered how you had managed to get a filter onto a fish-eye
