*istDL SD card capacity

Hi,
Brand new to these forums apologies if the answer is already here somewhere.

Is the *istDL compatible with 2gb cards (or higher) just going to start experimenting with Raw and want the extra capacity if possible.

Also can it take the SDHC cards and in what sizes?

I'm fairly sure it will support them (look at http://www.digital.pentax.co.jp/ja/info/20060907e1.html it says support for sdhc) although you may need to update the firmware in the camera to be able to use a big card. That link will give you access to the newer firmware if you need it - to check what you have, power on the camera whilst holding the menu button.

Thanks, I will check, it's just that somebody told me they thought the maximum size it would support is 1gb.

If you have updated your firmware it will happily accept a 2Gb card. I have one in mine right now. The original firmware was limited to 1GB but was soon updated.

Thanks for responses, have downloaded and installed the new firmware and odered a 2gb card.
