£70 cashback - K3 for £705

I don't know if this is a Pentax initiative or a WEX photographic one, but they're offering £70 cashback on the K3. Body-only price comes to a total of £749, certainly the cheapest I've seen it.

The Prestige edition is also included, which brings it to £929 with the grip.

The offer now shows on the SRS website too (it didn't when I posted earlier) and that's even cheaper - £705.00.

SRS K-3 body £705 net, K-5IIs body £699 net.

Summat wrong there with the logic, methinks, unless the K-3 is essentially no better (0.8% differential).

Maybe stock of the k5's is running low and the k3 seems to be being cut to bring costs more into line with the offers in the us, and compete with the canikon winter cash back offers.

Well I expect a K-5IIs price cut before too long, it needs to be about £100 less than K-3 with offer I'd have thought, and I am sure someone will do that soon (if not Pentax).

And if it's being discontinued, that will be a sad day for Pentax, but the price will drop anyway for that reason... EDIT oh, it already has - I will start a new thread.

Amazon have now equalised the SRS price. I'm not sure if Pentax goods bought from Amazon will have a one year guarantee or two though. Anyone?
