Lots of entries to look at here but a couple have a distinct lack of the subject matter.
So here are my views on the entries and just remember these are just my opinions and probably do not matter anyway

Front Offside Wheel Nut.
Might Been better to shoot this at a lower angle and a bit closer to get the locking nut in the center of the shot and to eliminate the tyres at the corners of the shot.

Round the bay
Would have been nicer if it had been sharper.

Sparkling taps.
Well it is different maybe a more conventional view would have worked better.

Shiny McShine
Love the water droplets on the chrome nice and sharp almost to sharp nice shot.

A bit of posh chrome.
Some great reflections going on there the sky on the horn domes is great .I would have like to have seen the RR mascot in there as well so maybe turning the camera round to portrait mode
may have worked better.

Grand Prix
Nice sharp shot but I think the wheel in the top left would have been better cloned or cropped out.

RR Chrome
Nice composition here with the chrome against the blue sky, works for me.

Chain
I like this a lot, great abstract shot almost looks like molten metal well done.

Morgan car
Good idea but to cluttered with other elements ie lamp post growing out of the roof and fore ground intrusion.

Hand of Zeus
Good striking image I think it would have made a good poster for a 50’s or 60’s space film poster.

Viking
Nice depth of field here and good handling of reflection . Possibly a crop off the bottom and a bit off the left to center if would give more impact.

Look to the future
Great reflective shot well spotted but the out of focus arm to the right of the shot spoils it for me.

Shiney Hub.
Again a nice reflection shot but I feel it is lost in the frame getting closer and lower might have worked better.

Sign of the Zodiak
Great bold image not what I was expecting but it works well enough, but I think it could do with a slight straighten up as it leans slightly to the left . I downloaded it and put a grid over it just to check that it was not my eye’s playing tricks.

Chrome wasn’t built in a day.
Second outing for Mr Button’s car in this competition a good racing shot but not a lot of chrome on show.

Reflection in Chrome
Great shot and good use of depth of field to throw the back ground out of focus and make the reflection the main interest in the image. It might be worth cloning the bottom right out though.

Polishing the slide
No Chrome on show here but a pin sharp image that may have been improved with a stronger reflection.

Flying B.
Nice reflection in the Chrome and the out of focus back ground makes it stand out.. A crop off the bottom a bit below the reflected wing may improve it by making B the center of attention..

Plymouth
Clean shot of a nice car but to much going on at the sides and background for me, I would have been tempted to get in closer with a much wider lens and fill the frame with that lovely chrome frontage possibly 18mm or wider.

Blowing his own trumpet
Good idea but cutting the picture in half makes me feel that there is something missing

Asahi Pentax S1a
No chrome on view here just matt alloy.

Hard decisions here but

Results are
1 Reflections in chrome Andrew A
2nd = CHAIN, GlynM & Hand of Zeus, Aliengrove

Many thanks for my joint second place alongside Aliengrove. I thought it was a very good choice of subject that attracted a lot of great images. Thanks also for the comments and, of course, the judging .

Congratulations to Andrew for the well deserved win and everyone else for another wonderful collection of images.
