Description
"I see a face" is this weeks subject.

I am not after portraits or obvious shots of a face, what I am looking for is a face found in a stone, on a tree trunk or a formed by windows on building for example.

There are plenty of faces out there, and please feel free to be imaginative and creative, but most of all, find that face that will win this weeks competition.

Wow, some superb entries this week and picking between my favourite two was really difficult but there has to be only one winner.

1st Place: Fetch by Dr Orloff
2nd Place: Scary Meyer by paulb531
3rd Place: Seaweed by Geordie01

Well done and Thank You to everyone who entered.

Fetch by DrOrloff. The thumbnail made me smile straight away as there was a face somewhere you wouldn't expect to see one. A creative, imaginative and fun shot.

Scary Meyer by paulb531. Almost a dead heat with Fetch - had everything I was looking for - fun, clever spot really love it!

Seaweed by Geordie01. This grew on me - the shot not the seaweed - as the week went by, different sort of spot from the top two, but a really wonderful and funny shot.

Alien Warrior by johnriley. Almost a top 3 just shaded by Seaweed. Very imaginative and great PP right up my street.

Feaf Face by dazzi-b. I like this, clean, clever and good use of the imagination.

Rock Face by darlene. Not just a Rock Face but a bathing man no less. Great spot just not so sure why he isn't smiling as I would be sat there!

Moss Man by jim-w. Well done Mrs jim-w for spotting what looks a bit like a hairy Homer Simpson. Great team effort there.

Scream in the wood by mikeprotts. This is superb and almost a podium placed shot. It is the scream, it is a face and it is in the wood. A shortlisted shot.

White Horse by agentmarke. I like this shot a lot, I see a seahorse, but alas no face sorry. A well executed shot, lovely tones and crop, just lacking a face.

Armageddon by bforbes. This one had me searching for the face, I looked, and squinted, and puzzled. I came to the conclusion Barrie that there were 4 alien looking faces at the foot of the shot am I right? If so, good spot, and I like them they are kind of cute and funny. If not...can you point it out for me please??

Rear Face by Noelcmn. I have met some bum faced folk in my time but none quite like this fellow. I like this shot, it is a very different take to the other shots. Would have preferred a sharper shot but still a good capture.

The Skull of Luxembourg by AxelLuther. A front runner for a good part of the week this. Love everything about it, super, but just pipped by the podium placers.

walter matthau by vonbobcat. Again another front runner, to even see the likeness (which in itself is great if not slightly spooky) is spot on! Funny and only just pipped to by the podium placers.

Ballintoy face in the cloud by sean282. I can see a face in the cloud, but it is perhaps not as clearly defined as I had hoped for. This however may not be a bad thing, but I couldn't quite make my mind up. It is a stunning shot, lovely tones and would look fab as a wall print!

Time Immortal by Ernest. You have certainly taken me at my word here Ernest. Much as I love his face, it is too obvious a face for me this time around, sorry.

Devil on Horseback by tyronet2000. Great spot and yes it is definitely the Devil of Horseback. I like this shot, but the lack of a definitive face held it back.

The Green Face by the Pool by Northgrain. Like the other rock shots Tim this was right up there. Again a great spot and yep I can see the frog too, pipped by the podiums.

Old Man of Storr by Dodge69. Just like Tim's, and the other rock shots I really like this. Slightly harder to spot but that adds to it.

La Pena by GaryJohn. Ah but for a lie down in such a beautiful place. A top shot with a lovely little twist of the resting man. Is that another one to the right too?

Tuner's Tina Turner by drofmit. Yep very good, great use of the imagination and use pp to capture the face. A shortlisted shot.

Feline foliage by simonarron. Yeah I see a cat, but it could bird to if you view the tail as a beak? Good spot, but the lack of a face held it back.

Well done and Thank You to everyone who entered.

Face in the Clivias by theoldbat. Nothing wrong with this for a first competition entry. I see a snake with a face, is it the snake from the jungle book? Good spot, but possibly a tighter drop towards the face would help as the space and bit of date could be sacrificed.

Twins by japers45. Two faces for the price of one. Another shortlisted shot. I like it, just the crop let it slip away from the others though as I wasn't overly keen on the quality of the grouting

Happy shooting and looking forward to this weeks competition.

Well done Doctor O for the win and Andrew for an interesting competition. You are correct Andrew, I saw bodies, heads and faces along the bottom, but I don't see cute. I saw tortured, as in Pompeii, lava and dust! Oh well.

Thanks Andrew for a fun competition. I like Paul's saucepan best but anyone could have won as there some fun shots there and plenty of photos better than mine.
