Well, or their respective owners .. It would not be their iron horses but provided that it is clear that this is the rider! So I wait for your bikes, sports and racing bikes, The mighty Harley or old-timers, all! Well, as I said, bikers! or better yet cute girls bikers! Good luck! |

Erm, I've just received a notification to tell me I've won, which is a) unexpected but b) hugely appreciated. I have a link to set up a new competition and will do so asap, but need a bit of time to think of subject matter. Leave it with me - and thanks to ArsenAl for the vote.

So, it's time to take stock! This time I was also very pleased with the number and quality of the work .. and at the same time, it has complicated my work! in the morning I was free but he could not make the final choice. But first, the order of the works ..
Sounds like a Porsche by AxelLuther- Axel - you have once again managed to impress me with their work! as always (almost always) .. I remember an old Porsche from the same museum .. What else can I say about this photograph? never mind! Excellent!
King of the Rhodes by simonarron - When I saw this photograph after photograph of Axel, I was horrified! If the matter further it goes - how I'll break my head! The picture just great! Impeccable panning, sharpness (Sigma hello!) And well-constructed composition! Six to five-point scale!
Hog by aliengrove - Ah, here would be more Qatari sheikh! riding on this bike .. Good job, the only-I think a little cramped! although it may be due to the fact that otherwise would have fallen into the frame something extra ..
Retro biker by Dr.Mhuni - good, good-quality, high-quality work .. but most probably can not say anything .. I've seen you work much more catchy ..
Over the Jumps by sandinista - good point, good photo! but I do not really like the processing .. I have removed the saturation-grass has turned slightly acid green ..
At the Ace Cafe by mecrox -very good shot! I loved it! composition and good B & W to the point! the only thing - I think the center marred ..
Laidback by bforbes - Moto Freestyle - one of the spectacular sports! I had to take it off .. But I think this shot is not very good .. First author was not lucky with the weather .. secondly the trick itself is very effective but at this photo he looks a bit static
two Icons by drofmit - Humor is always good!
Fatty by nipper - the bike is good, but I do not agree with the framing and more with the treatment .. probably many have noticed on my previous judging that I do not like the treatment in the spirit of HDR. but this is just my opinion - someone else may like it!
"Cherished" by Hyram -just a good picture, something more can not say ..
Down the Tailpipe by RPLSF - same as the previous frame .. only-I would have lowered the bottom edge just below and focused on the end of the muffler ..
Aprilia in August by TOZZA27 - nice play on words! and the bike is very good! Although my brother biker ride a Ducati said he did not understand the cult of Italian motorcycles .. back to the photo too, would like some more space ..
Young biker by Noelcmn - What a wonderful little biker! the pleasure he gets from riding a motorcycle! I think people to ride bikes and to keep it feeling the joy of children .. very good!
FLYING BY by darlene - picture could be a good .. but the quality is not very high ..
Biker's Bride by Solas - and here is the long awaited girl biker .. but how can that be! How could it not show us a colorful pair! and even a motorcycle! You have committed a crime against art! This shot had to be much wider!
MX Biker by alun - very good sports shot! black and white looks good, although I do not know how justified in this case .. bright coloring equipment and motorcycles usually asks for a color image .. and, again, not enough space in the frame .. too rigid framing ..
Boys are back in town by dannyh -wow! Here they are-cool biker! this is just one of those shots that I really wanted to see! Cool!
"How do I stop this bike?" by bobtophat - good one. good and funny picture! still be a little more quality ..
Come Down, Before you Break Your Neck! by JudithAnn - great time! a brave guy! good song .. but what about quality? I looked at the settings. like everything right .. but the photo lacks sharpness - can cause the lens? or a very strong crop? sorry - a frame with great potential ..
Relentless by paulgee20 - Ah ... what a pity ... a magnificent performance from the technical point shot! Sharpness great! perfectly photographed with the panning .. Suza and cool! but why is it again so closely? would give the space in front of the bike and it would be perfect!
Now - where did I leave my bike ? by GaryJohn - hmmm ... very mysterious shot! will not disclose the secrets ..
Kos Angel by Rhoufi - cool helmet! but my friend's cooler - it's done as head of the Predator from the same movie .. and even a laser sight triplex lights! In the evening at traffic lights he often scares people .. Good shot!
Dreaming Harley Davidson by malcolm leader - and another shot that I wanted to see! excellent portrait of true biker!
Dirtbike and Sidecar by droopsnoot - Another shot of yet another potentially spectacular sport .. but in my opinion you can not show it with the most exciting part .. the central location of the object, the lack of movement in the frame, the wire fence ... often try to photograph these events - take a look at pictures in magazines and I'm sure you'll get much better!
Olivers by timcx500e - good technical performance photos! but for my taste, this angle is less favorable .. and given the fact that you were shooting into the sun I would use flash here .. but on the whole frame is good!
Old bike by womble - one more "fragmented" picture .. excellent technical performance, pertinent bw .. some do not like the trimmed lamp ..
YAMAHA FZ8 by gordonbrownson - nice bike .. but a picture is not very interesting .. top and bottom cut off and it would be better on the other hand, from the sun ..
That's probably all spoke .. despite the presence of other strong works, my favorites are decided at once! this is the work of Axel and Simonarron .. but how hard it was for me to choose between them! They both are very good and very different from each other .. Studio, static and dynamic reportage-.. I swear, if it were possible to give both first-I would have done! but should be 1st and I still had to choose .. and this is not because Axel has just won .. just seems to me closer to sport .. Axel, you lose a thousandth of points! So ... drum roll ...

2nd Sounds like a Porsche by AxelLuther
3rd Boys are back in town by dannyh

Hi ArsenAl - I didn't want to be pushy - I was really just wondering, if something was wrong with displaying the comments... Thanks for this great topic and your judging and that I nearly made it (at least that I managed to impress you). Congratulation to Simon - as ArsenAl said - a pinsharp, well composed and very authentic picture with a great motion blur...I also had to smile when I saw the picture "The boys are back in town" as it really reminds me of the scene from "A nights Tale" when they play exactly this song. Congrats to all the HCs as well.

Well Done simonarron! Thankyou to ArsenAl for the judging. I to thought the tailpipe was too closely cropped, but the garage is such a mess, no amount of cloning or pp could clean it up .... Well maybe some ambition and hard work blah!

Thanks for the comments Al - bikes are not really my thing but I found this one rather exciting even just standing there - lovely shot from the winner and some cracking runners up and entries too.

Well done simonarron - it looks gorgeous
And AxelLuther - another cool shot
dannyh - Boys are back in town was my personal fav, because of the "boys" and the 'story' it evokes
And well done to all the HC's. Difficult one to judge, but really well done.

I have a question - this competition is judged since a few hours but I see not a single comment - neither from ArsenAl nor any other participant?? Is something wrong with the display of comments (do thers see some comments) or are there no comments at all???
Thanks for clarification and BW
