Weekly #985 - Transport Competition

Afternoon All,
Thank you for your entries, a great variety on display which is what I'd hoped for.

My comments:-
Take your pick by gibis
A lovely selection of road transport on display. An image that really captures Indian road transport.
All Aboard by davidwozhere
I like the idea of this image but the timing and framing are not working for me . I'm certainly all for movement and motion blur in images but the guard in the foreground cut in half by the edge of the frame, I feel he should either be in or out. The exposure and rendering are just right.
Metro, Porto by SSF1957
A well framed well timed shot, it works well in B&W, even the people have obliged by standing in the right places!
Gas Street Basin by Simonmac
Quite a visually busy image in high contast B&W. It rewards the viewer that is willing to spend a few moments looking at it.
Crossing the Pennines by Graham_A_E
Well framed and clever use of the reflective glass. A close up and overview all in one.
Pram-ium Transport by Flan
I like the title. For me this would work better in portrait and include the full wheels of the pram. Another good use of B&W.
Sea Tractor III by MikeInDevon
An interesting vehicle in deed, in a beautiful location, all perfectly framed.
Ninja by Noelcmn
I'm not well up on motorbikes but this does look like a bit of a beast, just look at those brake discs. I'd be with you, happy to look and admire but skip the ride.
Fast or Slow, You Choose by RayW
And indeed people did choose, the railways were the death of commercial canal traffic. Thank goodness we still have some that we can enjoy.

Thank you for setting and judging Nigel, never an easy task. I really enjoyed the diverse entries so well done to all who made the effort to enter.

Thanks Nigel, quite a range to choose from. I recognised the Porto station straight away, I was sure it is the one called Bolhao (where we caught one to the airport. I enjoy it when that happens. But I looked closer and can see its a different stop.
