Congrats Stephen, Super comp you got there for a worthy winner. And congrats extended to davidwozhere, a super presentation of the underside. Psychodelic indeed! Thanks for my 3rd spot Nigel, I regularly come across fungi like that, especially after all the rain we've had of late. Thanks for the challenge and the C&C's too, always appreciated.

I think they help give a good glimpse into this amazingly diverse and often beautiful group plants.
Honey Fungus by johnriley
Often found in great groups of fruiting bodies as in John’s picture here. Usually found on dead and dying trees. The fallen leaves and few green leaves helping to give us an idea of the scale of this fungus.
Psychodelia by davidwozhere
With lovely detail a good angle and the pure black background this is quite a spacey image.
Turkey Tails by SSF1957
The framing and balance of fungus within it’s surrounding environment strikes a good balance that works well. Lovely sharp foreground fungal brackets (tails)
Hidden by gibis
Classic toadstool looking fungus, nice to have the two main bodies at slightly different stages of maturity. Nicely detailed. Quite small fungus I guess if they are blades of grass that they are growing through.
Fungus Field by RayW
I’m going to guess that the moss and fungus are both colonising an old tree stump or log. Tiny but perfectly formed.

What beautiful little brackets of fungus, stunningly beautiful and delicate forms. I am also liking the diagonal framing it adds to the image.
Without further ado…..
1st place Turkey Tails by SSF1957

3rd place Fungi by Noelcmn
