Thank you for your entries this week and thank you for giving me a headache on ranking the images, what a great little set of curvy photographs, I applaud you all!

Tendrils by Lubbyman
A stunningly beautiful and superbly executed study.

Fence Frame by gibis
A well seen study, curves aplenty in the fence weave and so importantly in the contrasting plant shoot. As the plant is such an important part of the image I would have preferred the top part of it to also be in focus. An image that sill holds its own.

Curved space by davidwozhere
Another stunning plant study, those curves, the light , the subtle tones just draw me in.

The Curves of Space and Time
And now for something completely different! Definitely the old time Tardis interior of my generation. Plenty of curves here but not quite as curve focused as some of the other entries for my eye.

Basking by MHOL190246
Love it, this curvaceous seal knows how to take take centre stage. I've never been to the Shetlands, it's on my list!

Vulcan Nose by PRYorkshire
Taking a nose head on! It gives a great effect, bulging out of the frame towards the viewer. I'm guessing you've use a dark vignette to keep the eye focused on the subject?

High Speed Curve by RayW
Great compositional use of the curved tracks taking us through the arched bridge to a glimpse beyond. Could the exposure be reduced by 1/3 stop maybe? It's a good use of B&W , it helps emphasize the structure of the image.

Tripping at Selfidge's bt Simonmac
Some sexy modern architecture here, captured from a great angle. The subtle play of form, pattern and the light play. Did I say sexy!

Red waves and curves by Noelcmn
A lovely study of this succulent leaf edge, really lovely. Interestingly the out of focus sections in this image don't trouble me at all, in fact I like them within the composition, lovely.

York Minster main entrance by davidtrout
The detail in this image! Such great architecture and craftmanship. From the curves of the structure to the wiggles and curves of the detail, what a study.

Curves in the detail by richardhodopsin
Indeed there are curves a plenty hear, overall a sweeping curve into the scene. Because you've tilted the lens upwards to frame your image it has also curved the horizon. If it were mine I'd probably correct that but it's a very apt entry , nice shot. I wonder if it would work in B&W?

Thank you all again for your entries, such variety and all good in their different ways and subject matter.

1st Place Tendrils by Lubbyman

Thanks for the first 1st place of 2026. An impressive set of entries, too. Goodness knows how you managed to decide on the podium places! Hopefully this bodes well for the competitions in the coming year.

Now for the dubious pleasure of choosing a new topic...
