I was feeling a bit embarrassed for not having done anything about this - I have received no notification whatsoever so right now is the first I knew about winning! Perhaps this is due to Nigel's difficulties? Maybe there is a glitch in the system?
Anyway, thank you very much for the first place. The quality of the entries is quite wonderful so whoever takes the remaining places should also be very pleased.
It's the first day of Autumn - so please show us your archived (or freshly taken) autumnal images during this week.

I'm big, I'm bad and I'm back!
What a wonderful collection of colourful images you provided me to struggle over, and I did ponder back and forward quite a bit.
Indoor Rainbow
by ForgottenHeritagePhotography
Great shot and the first one in. I love the juxtaposition between the prison interior and the rather surreal and colourful lighting, a great outcome.
Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly
by SSF1957
What a beauty! Lovely and sharp everywhere it needs to be with the buddleia acting as a good colour background. Colourful nature at its best.
what colour do you choose?
by gibis
Those pigmented powders certainly have vibrancy. A nicely captured street scene, I'm assuming in India. The sarees adding some more colour to the scene.
Rylee
by BraydenBise
What a colourful interpretation of a lion, I can understand wanting to use it. Overall I really like the image but, I do feel the lion and the young lady are fighting each other for my attention. Bang on for this comp though!
Floating dining forks.
by davidwozhere
A very clever well executed piece of worktop photography. Initially it wasn't going to win but, the more I looked at it the more it won me over, the idea, the execution, the colour reflections in the forks etc etc
Ozzy
by Simonmac
I'm really enjoying the fact that this is current affairs and the work is on going. An arresting piece of street art in the making. It does make me smile that is such a colouful piece of work for the "Prince of Darkness"
Colorful guilty bulldog
by Noelcmn
Certainly a piece that grabs the eye. The black background and the white Bulldog giving the colour runs even greater punch, BOOM!
Colours, Just Colours
by Lubbyman
Lubbyman you're getting the award for the image that for me really is closest to a colour explosion. I love experimental photography, keep it up.
Leyland Lioness
by johnriley
That lime green really does stand out and say "Look at me!" It's a beauty in its own right. Loud and proud!
Thanks again for the excellent and totally enjoyable entries.

I asked for colourful images and I'm certainly not disappointed.
Best to you All
