Anything to do with water, provided it's a main feature of the photo and not just incidental. River, sea, on the ground, fallling from the sky, being drunk, for washing, irrigation, being polluted, solid, liquid or steam, fountains, ice cubes.... There's a lot of it about, even if it's not necessarily in the places we want and at the time we want it. And, of course, Pentax is perfect for photos of water, given its WR cameras and lenses. The usual rules for a weekly competition apply - photos can have been taken at any time and must have been taken with a Pentax or acceptable clone. Entries by midnight BST, Sunday 1st June 2025. |

But a winner is necessary. So having agonised over which to choose, during an hour's dog walk this morning, the decision is ... 'The magic of Condensation' by Noelcmn. It really is the first among equals. What swung it for me, though, was the back story - seeing the potential in what most people would have dismissed as rubbish and turning it into a work of both art and technical excellence.
And I really cannot choose between the others for podium places. So please all link arms and step up onto the podium together!
