Hello! The Masters, Birmingham City promoted (not my team!). cricket underway.....sport is, whether we like it or not, a huge part of life. Please submit your shots showing whatever sport you like. I have used a definition from Wikipedia as what constitutes a sport can provoke debate!: Sport is a form of physical activity or game. Often competitive and organized, sports use, maintain, or improve physical ability and skills. They also provide enjoyment to participants and, in some cases, entertainment to spectators. Usual rules....Pentax bodies or accepted clones. Closes at midnight on 20/04/2025. (entries at a minute to no problem!) All the best |

Competitive Lumberjack

Python song in my head! But I'm okay... Fascinated by this...a busy shot but that doesn't detract from this spectacle.

Dynamic, colourful, competitive! Ticks all the boxes. Great framing too.
Line Dancing?
by johnriley
A nice group shot but there is little in the way of action. I know that the theme is sport...but action helps. And power to that team!
A thing called RODEO
by BraydenBise
Forgive me...this is difficult for me as I support animal rights. I have had a chat with myself and decided that the photograph is more important. I would have loved to see this face on....great shot regardless.
Bat to Ball

I love my cricket. Had to give up at 21 because of two disc issues (I was a bowler). Nice shot but too clinical for me....I am a fan of movement in sports shots.
Going sideways
by stevistds
I played Colin McRae (sic) Rally on my console years ago, I was rubbish. Not a bad shot but there is no sense of movement.
Time to retire the old bat!
by Noelcmn
At schoolboy level I once borrowed a several decade old bat form a friend..batting at 10 I found the boundary! I love this...but that wallpaper really takes away from the thought.
Spring in the step

Movement, focus, the crowd. Love it.
The winner, as you know, is Sue Riley.
Second goes to Brayden
Third to Flan
Thank you all so much.
All the best!
