Well, that is a bit disappointing-only 4 submissions. As usual, high quality images. Just a few comments:

Dewsburya- Llangelynnin Old Church- Lovely POV for this comp, and sufficient enough details despite the crop. Loving the interplay of light and dark in this image, with the eventual dominance of the window through which the light comes. But it is the warmth of the bouquet that makes the image special, amid such cold things as benches, wall and roof!

Johnriley- Cathedral of Commercial vehicles – WOW, that is some DOF you got. A busy image, so typical of museums, and the “quiet” of museums stunningly captured, you can almost sense the hush tones of the two men, whose presence adds a nice touch of humanity amid all that technology. Did you use a tripod? If not, you’ve got some very steady hands. Solid comp and colour tones.

Simonmac- not New York – just the kind of image I envisaged when I set this challenge-this one has an added dimension of human movement. A lovely slice of life in Birmingham, with the two foreground men adding some interest. Hope they did not threaten you as is suggested. Good use of architecture to frame said life. And B/W very suitable.

Flan-Service station morning- what a lovely atmospheric shot, and one that leaves me with quite a few questions. The Bin? The firefighting gear? Were you the first customer of the day? Liking all the words scattered all around the image, scrambling my brains to figure out the name of the place and its other advertising details.

And johnriley is the winner, all others are 2nd placed. Great shot John. Over to you for the next challenge.

As you say, disappointing that there are so few entries this time. But thanks for the win!

To answer the question, the shot was hand held. Maybe steady hands, but helped along nicely with some SR!

I will post a new competition after a bit of thought...
Best regards, John
