Weekly #886 - Stormy Weather Competition

Description | This weeks competition theme is "Stormy Weather". I love rainstorms, especially the amazing spell that accompanies a thunderstorm in the countryside. I'll leave the title up to your interpretation but your photos could be of a super cell or just some raindrops on a plant. I look forward to seeing what you guys come up with. As always photos can be from any time period as long as they were taken with a Pentax camera or clone. Closing Date: 29/09/24 |

Thanks Davidwoz, no worries though, as I have been so familiar with the Clare coastline since childhood.
You are right though, one needs to be careful, the tidal shifts are immense and I know this first hand not only from swimming but Kayaking also out bit further. Takes a bit of paddling, I can assure you

Congrats Flan, that is a bit of an unsettling image, perfect for the challenge. Congrats too to michaelblue, and thanks for my 3rd spot. The brightness of the road is because there was bright sunshine and the contrast could not have been more dramatic between the storm clouds and the sunshine on the day, which I tried to capture. Thanks for the challenge and the C & C's BraydenBise. Much appreciated.

The road is a touch bright for my taste but I love how it leads into the image. Overall well done.

Nice shot! You captured the sky and that rainfall very well in my opinion. Nicely done.

I'm not sure quite what to say about your shot. It's defiantly interesting, brings a rather vintage feeling to mind for me.

Nicely done! I really like the contrast set between the dark storm clouds and the light sky.

Flan, I love the emotion you captured here. I feel like the waves could start moving at any point. Well done!!

I love this. One of the things I enjoy most of rainy days is watching the raindrops collecting on objects. Very well done!!
