My apologies for tardiness in producing the results. I was away at a funeral yesterday and too spent when I got back to do it last evening. I logged on quite late but fell asleep in front of it!

The Hole by ArsenAI
A frame with a view indeed! Admittedly it was nature that provided the wonderful shapes and colours that retreat into the distance but it needed the photographer to see this and to produce the dramatic composition out of them.

A frame to bring colour to your face by davidtrout
The face is sufficiently remarkable alone and then the framing gets a quite masterful colour treatment to make it even more intense.

The outlook is dull by Nigelk
I didn't realise you could get a remote to trigger from inside a building - or was it a self timer? The fish eye is perfect for the composition and mono is perfect for the mood. Must be cold outside to cause so much condensation - so what's a ladybird doing on the frame?

Waiting For The Ferry To Dock by Lubbyman
I presume he's watching his mobile device for instructions or, perhaps, an external camera feed. Everything in this 'frame' focusses on the key three components of actor, control box and hook, which are nicely aligned by the rule of thirds.

Renishaw Fountain by PRYorkshire
A vertical subject needs a vertical frame and the layout here dictates the symmetry. There is a large tonal range too that has been well captured.

The Prisoner by johnriley
Crocked themselves up trying to escape too - evidenced by the bandaged hand! Once more, good use is (almost) made of the rule of thirds and the tonal range has been well managed to create 'the frame' and to exclude all but the essential components, providing a dramatic and humorous result. Did you realise that you have created a visual pun as well on the word 'framed'?

Delivery by Simonmac
More excellent use of light and shade - the darkness of the overbridge, shadows from the sun being on the left and the deeper shadows in the distance all combine to accentuate the rider who has been allowed to emerge into the sunshine before the shutter was clicked.

New use for an old TV shell by Noelcmn
I commented at the start that there would be lots of possibilities here and this is certainly one of them, illustrating the creativity of people in general and the photographer for seizing upon it.

Boston Harbour Swing Bridge by stevistds
Even 18mm cannot provide the scope to get the sides and the bottom of this scene into view (stepping back clearly wasn't an option!). I can see the desire to include the top girder but, given the constraints, what would the result be of lowering the camera angle to include more at the bottom and chop off the top just at the apex of the cross members above the tower? The top of the tower would still be 'framed' and the powerful perspective given by the two huge receding girders would then predominate? (Just hold a sheet of paper over it to perform the crop at the top).

1st Delivery by Simonmac for that splendid mastery of light and shadow.
2nd THE HOLE by ArsenAl for its sheer scale and magnificence.
3rd The Prisoner by johnriley for dramatic simplicity.
