This is my comments on the pictures. I think judges for competitions do need a little bit of help, why people wait till the last minute to submit pictures
I dont understand. I had all my comments sorted by Sunday evenning then sudenly I have to find time on Monday (a work day)
to write some more comments. Anyway I have sorted my top 3

1st RayW Penwood
2nd Flan People tlaking to each other.
3rd Sueriley Light on the grass, cloud over the hills

Flan People talking, to each other
Nice starting entry, I like the black and white, and the light shining from the right
nice exposure thank you for sharing.

NigelK Evenning turns to night
another super entry, either a lucky shot, or a well planned one. Thank you for sharing.

Sueriley Light on the grass, cloud over the hills
This looks like an HDR shot. The white house is standing out nicely in the shot. Thank you for sharing.

MHOL190246 Cloud
Very nice cloud captue, exposure seems spot on. Thank you for sharing.

RayW Penwood
A shot I have tried to capture so many times when out walking. You have done a nice job with
this one. Thank you for sharing.

Simonmac The Sea, The pier.
Looks like an end of day shot, the atmosphere being "end of play for the day" Thank you for sharing

garethjmorgen Bonnie and Clyde
good use of scenery and models I like. Thank you for sharing

Noelcmn Barn Lighting Caught my eye, a strange study of light. Thank you for sharing.

davidwozhere A forest you should not enter. The darkness of the image does add atmosphere. Thank you for sharing.

John Riley The Homecoming. A nice glow to this image. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you Pipinmels

A challenge that one, when I though of atmosphere I could only conjure up Russ Abbot!

Lovely winning shot, and well done to the runner up and third place.

All the best

Congrats RayW, fits the brief so very well. I can see myself breathing in that atmosphere. And congrats extended to Flan and Sueriley. Great challenge, so thanks due to our host and judge pipinmels for the Judging exercise and C&C's. Guilty as charged for last minute submissions, a long standing tradition now, but also to give maximum time to scrounge the thousands of images. My submission I only arrived at on Sunday evening, and that purely by chance as I was thinking of my godson. I also work 7 days a week, but I do have much more time available than most.

I must admit that I only judge (when I am lucky enough to get the chance) once I have all of the submitted images in front of me. I then open a number of tabs and do side by side comparisons.
We are all different, and for that I am grateful.
