Thanks to everyone that entered the Challenge and produced a fine set of images. Here are my thoughts as I viewed each picture.

Dunes by dewsburya.
The coarseness of the grasses contrasts starkly with the smoothness of the cloud-covered sky whilst the scuffed sand sits comfortably between the two

Moss at the Foot of the Tree by John Riley.
I Like the way the texture of the moss softens the hard outlines of the bricks. The tree appearing to sit on top of the wall adds interest.

Ironborn by garethjpmorgan.
A vivid contrast of textures in this image. The coarse, aggregate-laden concrete contrasts starkly with relative softness of the rust which, in turn, allows for some lovely detail in the graffiti.

The Washing Line by davidtrout.
The textures in the image combine well with the geometric constructions

Cannage by Francisdb.
A lovely picture of two skilled craftspeople at work, however I am struck by the image as a series of patterns rather than textures

Beach Ripples by RayW.
Harsh, brittle and abrasive were my first thoughts when I looked at this image.

Woodland texture by NigelK.
I like the contrast between the textures in the bark of these two old timers.

Oange skin by davidwozhere.
Texture within a texture in this fine macro image, I would never have guessed its origin.

Barking up the wrong tree by sueriley.
I’m struggling with this image as the really harsh contrast is making it difficult to for me to see beyond the patches of black & white to the texture that surely lies there.

Sand,Sea,Sky by Simonmac
I am captivated by the many textured layers across this scene, from the gritty foreground to the scudding clouds.

Paper Textures by Noelcmn
The multi-coloured discs add a striking note to this image.

Untitled by kasperbergholt
A fine macro that comes across to me as shapes rather than the texture I was looking for.

This has been a difficult Challenge to judge but there has to be a winner and, by a whisker, this week it is:

1st Sand,Sea,Sky by Simonmac
2nd Moss at the Foot of the Tree by John Riley
3rd Ironborn by garethjpmorgan

Congratulations to the winner and thanks to everyone who took part.

Thanks to Yorkie for this beautiful theme which gave free rein to the imagination of the participants.

Félicitations à Simonmac pour sa belle image qui respecte bien le thème proposé en montrant les textures de trois éléments, l' air, l' eau et le sable. Bravo aussi à John Riley et Garethjpmorgan pour leur clichés respectifs.
