Thank you all for your entries, not as many as I had hoped, but still, the quality is as usual fantastic. I am due out of home in an hour or so, so I had better get on with it, otherwise judging will only happen tomorrow. Here we go:

Garethjmorgan –M world- Wow, looks so very real, Mother earth covered with cloud. so sharp and a lovely palette of colors. That artist is to be commended. Good eye there!

Perpsicador- Festive Feast- lovely, well worth having a look at this larger on the screen, to absorb all those lovely details, and despite all the surrounding details, those 3 people hold your attention. Beautiful moment, a level of atmospheric solemnity fitting for the occasion. Great shot!

Johnwnjr – Rose: Remembrance- Phew, what beautiful pop we have here, and a fine balance between in and out of focus elements. Fantast color, and I like that you kept some contextual details. Sharpness, Bokeh, composition, and a great story to boot! Wall worthy!

MHOL190246 – Horse Fly – Good old K20D- I so coveted one of those, and here all the more reason to have wanted one. Beautifully composed shot, and typically for macro shots, blurry background and low DOF. Nicely detailed, and capturing it as it rubs those front legs together is a bonus!

Davidwozhere – Mowing the lawn-a superb exercise in minimalism, excellent composition to give you a sense of space, and a two tone image- great shot! Glad you left out the cows!

Flan- Free, is a place to be- When I looked at this earlier in the week, my immediate reaction was “I so wish you had opted to try photo stacking with this one- to create more DOF that this image deserves.” Still I take the point of the selective focus you wanted to achieve of those handles with their own mind. Beautifully composed, an appealing storyline, textures and Bokeh all makes for a great image. I am intrigued by the background on this one! Looks like an arch, or maybe another wheel? Nice touch with the bottle!

Takuman – An Itchen trout fishery length- Beam up there Scotty- on the double! Calm, peace, tranquillity, lazy days, enjoying nature at its best-just make it all green, and you have a brochure worthy image for marketing. Love this, what a fantastic array of shades of green in this image. Quite unlike any of the trout farms around here, I’d be happy to try my luck here! Nicely detailed, strong composition and DOF!

Retsoor-Timeless- Now I’m caught betwixt Itchen and Polperro, and another beam up there Scotty! Fantastic image, stunningly composed, with that fella just peeping into the picture from the right and a mysterious cave on the left. Another brochure worthy image, and those dominating clouds getting ready for a threat to the peaceful village. Well that is the storyline I am reading here. Lots of textures, lots of details, a lovely landscape! Beam me up there Scotty!

1st place- Retsoor- Simply stunning !
2nd place to Flan, despite the lack of shortage of DOF, still an appealing image and storyline.
3rd Johnwnjr – Mother in law Remembrance -Nice story.

I am happy to give HC’s to everyone else. Thank you all. Over to you Retsoor!
