Competition Details
Closing Date: 05/12/2021

Will be looking for an image which shows a Winter scene of some description. This image can be taken from your archives so it doesn't matter where you are as regards the season. The only stipulation is it must have been taken using a Pentax camera. or Pentax clone. The Winner is to set the next competition and judge the entries. Good Luck everyone.

Thank you for entering this competition. Not an easy task to pick a winner but I felt the one I have chosen is to me what Winter can like.

Dark Waters by Perspicador. Not sure this works for a Winter photo unless the blue tinges in the water give an impression of coldness.

Snowy Scene by PRYorshire. Heavy snow with a little sunlight accenting the ruts in the snow where traffic has gone by.

Foxed by MHOL190246. Plenty of snow and you can almost feel the curiosity of the fox. I would hazard a guess you were willing the fox to turn around.

Highland Winter by David Trout. A very good representation of the highlands in winter, everything just frozen solid. I do like this one.

Toward Gas Street Basin, Birmingham by Simonmac. A very good Mono with the foreground figures putting me in mind of Lowery.

See to it in Mid-Winter by johnwnjr. I must admit I found this very amusing and it has some holly and berries on the poster. Well spotted.

Walk in the mist by Noelcmn. A very moody image of a scene showing fog giving a cold damp feel.

A cold dull day in February by retsoor. Another mono image which is showing a bleak scene of a farm. There does seem to be some sort of plant life in the foreground.

Cold is my bleak by Flan. This image could have been taken at any time showing a duck resting.

1st Place Snowy scene by PRYorkshire

2nd Place Highland Winter by David Trout

3rd Place Toward Gas Street Basin, Birmingham.

A special mention to johnwnjr for the fun image which made me laugh.

Thank you Stan for the judging, comments and my place.

The top two...I hope we have some snow like that here in Brum. Though I feel for those affected by the recent storms.......

All the best
