Thank you very much for some great images showing people doing humorous, interesting and unusual things. Just what I was hoping for. Here's first second and third. Fuller adjudication comments will follow.

1st. Fun with Kids, Noelcmn. Kids being so happy together with pure joy in their faces makes this a winner. Well done Noelcmn
2nd. Photo Opportunity.NigelK. Great image of grown men messing about. There should be much more of this
3rd. Can this boy jump.....Vic Cross. Beautifully timed photo capturing this extraordinary effort at its peak.

A few more adjudication notes at the end of the working day.
1st. Fun with Kids, Noelcmn: Strong composition and clearly the photographer had an excellent relationship with the young subjects who are genuinely enjoying having their photo taken.

2nd. Photo Opportunity.NigelK. I love the idea behind the photograph, regardless of whether the walkers had lined themselves up for the mobile phone photographer or for Nigel. Its a strong composition with the mirror providing just enough of a focal point at the end of the diagonal line of walkers.

3rd. Can this boy jump.....Vic Cross. Well timed and I am fascinated by the fact that the three principal subjects are all looking in different directions and none at the camera. For me, this strengthens the natural, unposed dimension of the image. My question is whether the fourth subject, disappearing off the edge of the image, adds to or distracts from the overall impact of a great shot.

HC A Solitary Man, Simonmac. A good example of quick-capture, unposed street photography pointing us to the anomaly of a quiet thoughtful man in the midst of the usual hubbub of an indoor(?) beer garden. Well spotted and photographed.

Bikers Meet, Perspicador. A well seen, very brief moment and a brave attempt at capturing it before it disappeared. Looking very closely, there seems to be some interesting expressions on the bikers' faces which could enhance the photograph with a bit of cropping and lifting shadows.

The Choir, Tyronnet 2000. Those were the days when it wasn't only football crowds that could get together in a decent sized group to have a good sing. You took this from a good viewpoint and I think the front-row ice cream eaters add interest and humour. There are some very enthusiastic Newbiggin singers there and a closer look at them without all the background activity would make a very powerful image.

Its behind you, MHOL. This is a very amusing scene with the humour enhanced by the title and the lone photographer pointing in the opposite direction. It's very well observed and my question is whether its impact would be increased with less sky and a tad less foreground; nothing wrong with letterbox format for an image like this.

Thanks again, everybody, for making me smile and think.

Oops, that is a surprise. I thought MOHL190246 had it in the bag! Ah well, I had better get the thinking cap on. Congrats to Nigelk and Vic Cross the latter a wonderful shot of some African culture. Thank you for the win, I am chuffed. And yes, I do have a wonderful relationship with the kids from the orphanage, never mind that if they see me with the camera, they all want met to shoot them. Thank you too for a fine challenge and the Judging exercise. Always appreciated.
