First of all I would like to congratulate the winner and thank all those who took part. I never expected to be in the position of judging and now realise what a difficult task it is. I was impressed by the variation and ingenuity of the interpretation of the theme.

The winner - Salvador's Dali Bike Ride
It was a combination of the composition and also the title which gave this picture a humorous slant. Well done

Classic Honda
Again, great composition along with the colours and sharpness make this a photo that wouldn't look out of place in a magazine

Fast out of the corner
Another great photo with the same attributes as the Classic Honda a difficult technique made to look easy.

Young champion
The focus and the determination captured on the face of such a young rider brought a lovely human element to the competition.

I love the tight crop used in this picture along with the exposure and monotone effect giving a real atmospheric feel of a bygone railway era.

Think I'll leave the garden until tomorrow
A serious contender for first place. I liked the use of the combining a still life photo with a twist on the theme.

Hi There
Again another interpretation of theme. I like the way the light is used to highlight the rider giving it extra dimension and shadow.

The Real Gear
This picture came a very close second. I love everything about it, the composition the colour and the use of the light showing up the textures of the wood and metal. I can almost hear the creaking as it turns Again a good interpretation of "two wheels".

Cream Crackered
I think the title sums this up well. a different take on a motocross action capturing the moment well lots of colour making it stand out.

Castle Coombe
Another good motorsport action shot. I like the way the rider stands out from the background and the fact that the bike is to the left of the picture leaving the space to ride into

Wild Child
A well composed shot very sharp and great use of the fire as a backdrop. Could have come straight out of a sport or fashion magazine

Three Wings but only Two Wheels
Yet another take on two wheels lovely and sharp with good composition. A good subject to photograph.

Leader of the Pack.
A different approach with a longer exposure giving an arty feel almost like a watercolour with the leader just prominent enough to stand out from the pack, an effect I tried before but failed. This was another serious contender.

Winding Gear
This was the first picture to appear in the competition and immediately liked it. I don't know if it is still in use but gives the impression of a bygone era. I wondered if it might look better in black and white but soon realised it is the colour that picks out the whole mechanism. A great entry.

It's a pity there could only be one winner- thanks
