Hi guys, This weeks competition will be "Rust" any shape or form, Lets see your rusty photos and I'll get back to you Sunday. (I'll not leave anyone out this week) |

Thank you all for entering "Rust." What a great set of photos. I really enjoyed looking at them all and it was hard to pick my first, second and third, but now for the judging.
Tyronet2000 – Wow, first off the block and what great colour. Sharp throughout, great position/framing, you can tell that those nuts are not for moving, great shot, well done.
Nigelk – I Like the background colour on this photo, the coloured specks add nicely to the weeping rust coming off the rusty nuts, nice and sharp, great shot.
Perspicador – A good sharp picture, with a rusty base, plaque and even some on the statue itself. This fits the rusty profile well. If possible a clone out of the white half banner on the right would keep our eyes on the statue, well done.
Takuman – I like the title of this, it made me laugh. Very well seen, all rusty even the bracket on the wall has rust. If the paint on the wall either side have been cloned out I think it would make the image a little stronger, but I’m glad you kept all the rusty long pointy thing in the image.
Retsoor – Lovely shot, sharp, clear with lovely colours. The red at the bottom of the photo with the rusty soldier on guard is very powerful. Good sky and tree detail.
Garethjmorgan – Lovely rust shot and good colour and cloud detail in the sky. The rusty block on the left looks like it has rusty flowers and butterflies on it. Sharp throughout and very interesting.
RayW – Very rusty and damaged water posts with a nice reflection of the posts colour in the water. Strong sharp foreground and rust panels leading us into the beach and sea. A relaxing feel to this photo.
Johnriley – Lots of rust here, from the metal wheel to the cab. Set in an autumn landscape, the colours and the wood and the rusty vehicle blend nicely together, with the blue sky and dark trees keeping us looking at all the lovely rust. Well done.
Johnwnjr – What a rusty find, is it an engine or a lawn mower that the grass has grown around? Good colour to both the grass and the rust, a little tight bottom left but nice and sharp, well seen.
Hazyj – Nice sharp image with rich orange rusty wall and Derv pump. The sky compliments the orange in the photo nicely, Even the window has a rusty histogram. Another photo that fits the theme well.
Francisbd – What an engine. Rust, red and a touch of blue, great arresting colours. The light hits the spot making the rusty rivets and the red stand out nicely. Pin sharp through out the image with lots to keep you looking.
MHOL190246 – A beautiful rust shot and in an unusual place. Deep rich orange rust contrasting nicely with the blue sky and the sandy beach. Nice and sharp. Would it have been possible to position it more in the frame as it looks a little unbalanced as it is.
Noelcmn – What lovely rusty orange colours, even the tree has the same rusty glow. Nice shallow depth of field. Would it have been possible to include all of the metal disc to complete the right hand side.
Drofmit – Wow what a gate, the colour is a bright and vivid orange peeling rust everywhere. The flowers at the top trying hard to mix in but keep to their side of the gate. Nice and sharp with lots of detail. Good shot.
Flan – What a big pile of rust, fantastic. You could spend ages looking and finding things in this photo. The light and colour is great, nice and sharp. For me a small crop off the left side would be perfect. Great shot.
